Digital Identity Morocco: online services and procedures

Access the e-services referenced for Royaume du Maroc, compare the procedures and continue to the official portals to check documents, conditions and tracking.

This page has a different role from the operational Mon Identité Numérique service guide. It explains the institutional framework of Morocco’s digital identity system, while activation and usage steps remain on the service page to avoid duplicating the same search intent.

The official digital-identity framework

The official portal explains that Morocco’s digital identity is tied to the electronic national identity card (CNIE) and can be used to prove identity to compatible online service providers. Its “About” page states that the official Mon Identité Numérique application was launched by the Moroccan government in collaboration with the DGSN and is designed and guaranteed by the Kingdom of Morocco.

What belongs on this “Kingdom of Morocco” page

  • the sovereign, CNIE-based nature of the digital identity system;
  • its role in authentication and proof of identity;
  • the fact that authorised service providers use the mechanism;
  • orientation to the operational guide without repeating the full technical tutorial.

For activation or day-to-day use

Account creation, CNIE reading, NFC, PIN, phone management and troubleshooting belong on the Mon Identité Numérique practical guide and the official citizen guide. This separation is deliberate: 180-day GSC data shows the service page is much better aligned with “digital identity” search intent than this organisation page.

Security and personal data

The official portal describes secure authentication in which the user controls operations and consents. Never share the CNIE PIN, operation codes or biometric-validation steps with a third party. For technical details or incidents, use the official FAQ.

This editorial differentiation is based on the official About page and Citizen Guide, which describe the CNIE relationship, DGSN collaboration and authentication use cases.

What is the difference between this page and “Mon Identité Numérique”?

This page explains the institutional framework. The Mon Identité Numérique service page is the operational guide for activation, use and troubleshooting.

Is digital identity linked to the CNIE?

Yes. The official portal says it is derived from the identity carried by the CNIE and is used to authenticate with compatible services.

Who stands behind the system?

The official portal presents the app as an official service designed and guaranteed by the Kingdom of Morocco and launched in collaboration with the DGSN.

Where can I find technical steps?

Use the Mon Identité Numérique page on e-services.ma and then the official Citizen Guide.
