Quick answer. Adala is the Ministry of Justice legal portal. It provides access to legislation, regulations, documentary references, conventions, circulars and other legal resources. It is an information and research tool, not a personalised legal-advice service.
How to search for a text
The portal offers quick search and advanced filters by source, document type, subject, number and date. If you already know the number of a law, decree or other text, use that reference first: it is generally more reliable than a broad keyword search.
What can be found on Adala?
Adala organises constitutions, organic laws, national legislation, texts concerning judicial organisation and legal professions, and many subject areas such as family, employment, property, electronic transactions, environment, transport, commerce and health.
A search result is not automatically the rule applicable to your case
A document can be old, amended or supplemented by a later text. Check its date, legal nature and, when the issue is important, the amending texts and version in force. For litigation or a legal deadline, reading one isolated article is not a substitute for analysis by a competent professional.
Adala and the Official Bulletin have complementary roles
Adala facilitates thematic research and documentary access. The Official Bulletin remains an essential institutional source for publication of legal texts. If you need to prove publication or verify the official version, cross-check the necessary references.
Practical search method
- note the subject or number of the text;
- start with quick search;
- refine by source, type, subject or date;
- check the title and date;
- look for amending texts if a decision depends on the current version.
Draft laws are not enacted laws
Adala also includes a section for draft laws and, where provided, participation through observations. A draft must never be cited as though it were already an enacted rule. When keeping a reference for a file, record the full title, number, date and, where relevant, the associated official publication.

Key point: use Adala's filters to locate the legal reference, then verify which version applies before relying on it.
