Illustration of the ONCF service in Morocco — Real-time rail traffic information

Quick answer. To check the real state of rail traffic, ONCF provides several complementary channels: ONCF Voyages / INFO Trafic, information about works, the official WhatsApp channel and the customer relations centre. Traffic information is not the same as a theoretical timetable search.

Which channel should you use?

  • Current works and traffic impacts: ONCF Voyages, INFO Trafic section.
  • Planned disruption caused by major works: ONCF “Info Travaux” web information.
  • Notifications about changes and disruption: the official ONCF WhatsApp channel.
  • Personalised information: ONCF customer relations centre.

Planned timetable or real traffic situation?

A booking timetable shows the service that is scheduled. Traffic information tells you what is actually happening: works, timetable changes, disruption or an alternative arrangement. For an important journey, check traffic shortly before departure even if the ticket was purchased earlier.

Info Travaux during major projects

ONCF explains that its works-information section is updated to show impacts on journeys and practical advice. The ONCF Voyages application also includes INFO Trafic information covering current works, their consequences for circulation and the state of traffic.

If two pieces of information appear inconsistent

  1. refresh the information using a recent official ONCF channel;
  2. check the exact station and train concerned;
  3. read Info Travaux if a change is planned;
  4. for an urgent or ambiguous case, contact ONCF customer relations;
  5. keep the ticket details available so the journey can be identified.

Traffic information is not a complaint service

Traffic status helps you prepare a journey. Compensation requests, disputes and complaints belong to customer relations or the relevant after-sales process. Do not assume that an INFO Trafic page automatically opens or processes a claim after the journey.

Key point: before departure, check the real traffic situation through a recent ONCF channel; an earlier timetable may not reflect a last-minute disruption.
