Quick answer. Watiqa is the official electronic counter for ordering certain Moroccan civil-status documents, including a birth-certificate extract or a full copy, with delivery by registered mail. The platform also offers a consular-registration certificate service for Moroccans living abroad.

How does a Watiqa order work?

The platform describes six stages: choose the administration, select the document, provide the delivery address, validate the information, pay when payment is available, and confirm the order. The home page summarizes the route as creating a request, paying delivery fees, tracking the order and receiving the documents.

  1. Choose the civil-status office where the record is registered.
  2. Select the document offered for that office.
  3. Enter the record identification and recipient details.
  4. Choose the delivery address, in Morocco or abroad where supported.
  5. Review and pay when the online payment function is available.
  6. Keep the order number for tracking.

Who can use the service?

The official FAQ states that the civil-status service is open to adult individuals recorded in Moroccan civil-status registers. Availability also depends on whether the relevant civil-status office or consulate participates in the electronic counter; an office that has not joined the service will not appear in the selection lists.

Ordering from abroad

Watiqa’s FAQ says an order can be placed from abroad and documents may be delivered there, subject to the selected office providing the service and postal delivery being available for the destination country.

Information requested

The form asks users to identify the civil-status office and document, then provide information such as the record number and year, identity details, contact information and a delivery address. Check these carefully before confirmation.

Payment status can change

During the check on 7 September 2026, the official form displayed a maintenance message concerning online payment. This is volatile information; consult Watiqa at the time of the order to see whether payment is available.
