Prayer times in Morocco

Choose a city to display today’s prayer times and the monthly calendar: Fajr, Chourouk, Dhohr, Asr, Maghrib and Icha.

Source and method. Prayer times are calculated via AlAdhan using the “Morocco” method (21). They may differ slightly from locally published times. For the institutional reference, consult the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs.

How to use prayer times by city

Prayer times are not identical across Morocco. A city’s position changes sunrise and sunset and therefore affects Fajr, sunrise, Maghrib and the other daily markers. Always choose the city where you are staying, or your destination, instead of relying on a single nationwide timetable.

Each city page shows today’s times and a monthly calendar. Sunrise is included as a solar reference after Fajr; it is not a sixth obligatory prayer. The displayed values are calculated starts of prayer times, while a mosque may announce the congregational iqama a little later.

e-services.ma uses AlAdhan’s Morocco method (21) to provide a practical calendar. The Moroccan Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs states, however, that ritual prayer times are established for each locality in the Kingdom. If a calculated time differs by a few minutes, the local official publication should take priority.

  • When travelling, open the destination city page on the day of travel.
  • For a future date, use the monthly table rather than an old screenshot.
  • For an official local reference, verify the Ministry of Habous timetable.
